The Glick endodontic excavator is a tool used in dentistry for various purposes related to root canal treatment. It is specifically designed to place provisional restorations and remove excess gutta-percha that is used as a heat transmitter in the root canal filling process.

The Glick Endodontic Digger has a flat, tapered end, allowing you to perform precise tasks inside root canals. The flat end is used to place provisional restorations into the canal once endodontic treatment has been performed. These temporary restorations are necessary to protect the canal while awaiting placement of a permanent restoration, such as a dental crown.

In addition, the Glick endodontic excavator is also used to remove excess gutta-percha during the root canal filling process. Gutta-percha is a thermoplastic material that is used to fill and seal root canals after performing root canal treatment. However, sometimes there may be excess gutta-percha protruding from the canal and it must be removed. The flat end of the Glick Endodontic Excavator allows this excess material to be precisely removed to achieve adequate root canal filling.
