The Johnson clamp is a tool used in dentistry to bulge and contour bands and crowns. This clamp is mainly used in dental restoration procedures, where bands and crowns need to be adapted and adjusted to the teeth. The Johnson tweezers have a similar structure to fine-tipped tweezers, but with a wider, flatter tip. The tip of the forceps is usually slightly curved to better adapt to the shape of the tooth. It also has a slight spring shape to the handles to allow for better control and ease of cambering and contouring movement.

To use the Johnson clamp, the dentist holds the clamp and carefully places it over the band or crown. Then, apply gentle, controlled pressure to bulge and contour the band or crown so that it properly fits the shape of the tooth. This is done using delicate and precise movements, avoiding applying too much pressure that could damage the structure of the restoration or the tooth.
