GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The stainless steel pencil spool loads ligature wire, threads wire through the tip, and loops with continuous ligature wire.

The stainless steel ligating pen is a tool used in dentistry, specifically in orthodontics, to place ligation wires around dental brackets. This ligating pen has a design that allows you to load a spool of ligating wire inside. The Ligating Pen consists of an ergonomic, pencil-like handle that provides comfort and ease of use to the dental professional. At the tip of the pencil is a loading mechanism that allows the spool of ligation wire to be inserted.

Once the ligation pen is loaded with ligation wire, the dentist can use it to pass the wire thread through the brackets and make continuous ligation loops. The tip of the ligation pen has an opening or groove that makes it easier to pass the ligation wire through the brackets. To use the ligating pencil, place the tip in the space between the brackets and the teeth. The handle is then gently pressed to slide the ligation wire through the tip and around the brackets. With precise movements, the necessary ligature loops can be made to keep the brackets in their proper position.
