Spoons or curettes are widened, flattened and excavated metal instruments at one end intended to extract foreign bodies or remains of organs from the bottom of a cavity. Some models are also used in traumatology for scraping bones. Some call it a curette, which comes from the French "curette" and that is what they call the curette in the shape of an elliptical band.
It was a steel spoon and very sharp, it offered great danger of piercing. It was fenestrated and had elongated convexity. There were different models that did not offer great advantages, only variations in the handle.
